
Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai, Vice Chancellor, National Law University Delhi, was invited to present the University’s views and participate in discussions on the provisions of the Corporate Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026 before the Joint Committee on the Bill. The meeting was held on 10 July 2026 at the Parliament House Annexe, New Delhi. The proposed legislation seeks to amend the Companies Act, 2013 and the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008.
Dr. Aparajita Bhatt, Associate Professor, National Law University Delhi, made a presentation in the meeting.
The Joint Committee on the Corporate Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026, is chaired by Shri Sudhir Gupta, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, and comprises 31 Members of Parliament.
NLU Delhi submitted a comprehensive report on the proposed Bill, along with detailed responses to the queries raised by the Committee. The research underpinning the University’s submissions was carried out by Aswin Shankar, Parth Khanna, Divyansh Mittal, Aakriti Maurya, and Rishika Chaudhary. The University was represented before the Committee by Dr. Aparajita Bhatt, Associate Professor, National Law University Delhi.
