Sr. Prof. (Dr.) G. S. Bajpai, Vice-Chancellor, National Law University Delhi, has been conferred the Best Legal Teacher Award under Category III — Individual Excellence at the International Legal Conference 2026 – “Globalisation of Legal Services”, organised by the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC), India, under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
The conferment of the Best Legal Teacher Award on Sr. Prof. (Dr.) G. S. Bajpai acknowledges his long-standing contribution to legal education, criminal justice scholarship, victimology, legal research, institutional leadership and innovation in legal pedagogy.
The Award Ceremony recognised excellence, innovation, leadership and contribution across India’s legal ecosystem. The awards were presented across three broad categories:
Category I — Legal Services, Law Firms & Corporate Excellence
Category II — Legal Education, Innovation & Leadership
Category III — Individual Excellence
An eminent jury panel comprising distinguished members from the legal profession, academia, industry, and public institutions finalised the awards. The award was conferred by HMJ Pratibha Singh, Judge, Delhi High Court; Mr Lalit Bhasin; and Mr Sinha, DG, SEPC.
This recognition is also a tribute to the broader role of legal teaching in shaping not only lawyers, but jurists, researchers, public thinkers, institution-builders, and professionals committed to justice, constitutional values, and public purpose.
